This tale begins on an uneventful school day in 2009. 

 

A (dorky and awkward) boy was entertaining himself by mouthing along to the ramblings of his 7th grade Social Studies teacher, as he often did.  A (cute and equally awkward) girl  happened to glance across the rows of desks in the room. His antics sent her into a fit of laughter she couldn’t control. They didn't know it, but in that moment, their story began. The rest of middle school included silly jokes and Skype calls, which led to late nights and early mornings. When they reached high school, it was clear they had more than a friendship on their hands. David and Julia began dating in 2013.

Mutual support continued during college while they both faced their own sets of challenges and were the loudest cheerleaders for one another's accomplishments. Julia and David were there for each other, unwaveringly, over distance and life's trials and tribulations. Friendship first, underpinning it all. They trusted fate to deliver them back to romance if it was meant to be.

And it was...

In 2019, they both moved back home for (what they thought would be) a short while. When 2020 unfolded, there was an opportunity to take a good look at what was most important: each other. 

​

Julia and David moved in together in 2022 and worked with intent on nurturing and growing their relationship. In 2024, they adopted their dog, Becca, and got a taste of working together to care for their fur baby. This natural progression is what leads us to today. 

​

On May 1, 2025, Julia and David became engaged overlooking the beauty of Lake Michigan. The couple was beaming with joy, the perfect start to the next chapter of their lives. It didn’t happen overnight, but their relationship has grown to have a strength far beyond what it had ever been before. Now, as they plan their wedding, they are most excited to celebrate the day with all the people they love most. You, dear reader, are among their most cherished.
